Demystifying Hormonal Health

Half of the worlds population spend over a decade of their lives in-cycle. Despite the regularity, systemic education gaps persist, with 50% of people claiming to not understand their own cycle, with less than two-thirds struggling to identify its foundational phases.

This represents a critical design flaw inside an exploding market. Femtech is a $63B industry soaring toward $267B by 2035, yet social stigma blocks growth and women's health receives just 4% of R&D funding.

Wave is a discursive project built to reframe the conservation. Through a tech-enabled and emotionally intelligent ecosystem, the project sparks vital social dialogue. Its mission is to empower everyone, both those who menstruate and those who do not, to change the narrative.

AMBIENT TRACKING

Note is a biometric bracelet that ambiently tracks vitals, hormones, blood glucose, and movement, to build a comprehensive picture of an individual's cycle. Integrating seamlessly into the wider product ecosystem, the device delivers data on two distinct levels: high-level visual insights to the Signal light, that foster shared understanding across the household, and granular, in-depth metrics accessible privately via the app and the Reflect mirror.

AMBIENT SIGNALLING

The Signal light acts as a physical manifestation of the cycle, seamlessly syncing with the body's internal calendar. By shifting its illumination and tonality throughout the month, the ambient device provides an intuitive, non-intrusive indicator of when a cycle is approaching and concluding.

AMBIENT CANVAS

Discover a deeper, more nuanced understanding of your body through the Reflect mirror and Wave app.

The Reflect Mirror acts as a living canvas within the home, allowing you to see your internal biological rhythms seamlessly harmonised with your outer self.

The wave app communicates highly sensitive, exact medical and biometric information, that can be accessed 24/7 whether at home or on the go.

NORMALISING FEMALE HEALTH

Wave brings the menstrual cycle out of the shadows, stripping away social taboos to build an open, accessible dialogue. By translating complex biometrics into a beautiful, shared household language, the ecosystem seamlessly normalises cyclical health while unapologetically celebrating womanhood.
